Good call... didn't realize this was already the last year of his contract. I do remember when they extended him it was about as lukewarm of an endorsement as you could give. So I'd think it's pretty likely he's going to be in coaching for his job mode when the conference season and tournament hits. I'm actually surprised he got as good of a recruiting haul as he did on the early signing day being in the last year of his contract.

Agreed, he has my respect for his contributions to the program but it's time for both parties to move on.

I read he's the second fastest coach at SU to reach 100 wins, not bad.
Eight years he's probably made 1.5 million, not bad.

Plus he is the son of John Richman who delivered big for Fargo and SU.
Interesting both Richmans contracts end about the same time.
We'll see how grateful the Fargo gang are to the Richmans. Especially dad.
2022 they both could be gone. One anyway.
I'm thinking they will be treated very well for there services.

All Carlson, Don Morton, Joe Chapman, Denny Wallaker now John Richman.
    Need streets named after them.

Yeah and on one of those streets I hope there’s a statue of Dean Bresciani facing East and bending over.

I don't agree with the 20 win bonus is the reason for the lower class schools being scheduled. If NDSU had a full house of people, there would be funds to bring in the upper class games.

No thanks to the idea of "Al Carlson Street." During the time I've been in Fargo while he was in the legislature, he was very hostile toward NDSU. I'm a pretty solid republican and I was quite happy to see him tossed out on his butt.
I don't care what Jim says. That is not the real Ben Franklin. I'm 99% certain.

They should deduct 10 grand for every 20 point blowout loss and 15 grand for a 50 point loss. That would knock him down to 195k

Al Carlson is so unpopular, he finished last in the West Fargo City Commission race and the voters sent him packing from Bismarck. That clown couldn't win a race running unchallenged vs a write in box

They can name a street after Al in some abandoned oil man camp.

Maybe all is not lost...we beat Idaho 90-73 and SDSU lost to them last night 98-84. So we should beat SDSU by 31. We're still in it!
The white jerseys are the best. Don't even bother to argue.
