Overall the out vs in seem like upgrades to me. Will be interesting to see how they use up the remaining scholarships.

Sorry Chapo but you are wrong on Biggs. The guy was obviously loved by his teammates and played hard, but at times he air balled layups. He just for some reason didn't know how to create space and then put in a easy layup, but I enjoyed watching him while he was here.

He should transfer to D2

I am in shock that Iowa State hired TJ Otzelberg. That is crazy - he went 12-15 (8-10 in MW) this year at UNLV which included 2 D2 wins. He is 25-26 while at UNLV total in his two years. I don't think he is a good coach just fell into the correct job at SDSU while they had Mike Daum. He will be fired within the next 4 years. I am still in awe that they played zone for the first 1/2 of the season his first year as head coach where they were terrible.

I had to look it up as I thought initially you meant Scott Nagy. To me he would have been a much better hire than Otzelberg! He has quietly accumulated a really good record at at Wright State - 109-49 .690 win percentage (in 5 seasons - with 3 conference titles and 2nd place). He is 54 years old - he should be a Darkhorse candidate for the Gophers. Not flashy but would bring a wealth of experience and consistency to a place that needs it.

From what I've read ISU had a boner for his ability to recruit the area, I'm not entirely sure one player in Mike Daum counts as recruiting ability. I can't see it going well, had a chance to prove himself at UNLV and they were not good. I guess you could play the card of he didn't get a chance to build a full team of his recruits but still not too often a losing record gets you a promotion.
