My boss hates it when I shorten his name to Dick, mainly because his name is Steven.
This is due to the SOS so far, the losses don't help but even if we were 7-1 like we should be our RPI wouldn't be great. 4 of the next 5 teams are quality opponents so if we can get at least 3 W's in the next 5 games without losing to Northridge we'll be back in the 200's.
Not really enough games for RPI to mean anything yet
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.

Looks like they went from 160 to 48.... not a bad day for them.

I think this says they were 160 as of Monday 11/25: http://realtimerpi.com/cgi-bin/rpi/r...ason=2019-2020
Lol RPI, right up there with the Gridiron index and ESPN Football Power Index as my favorite useless sports rating systems

From the Wikipedia:
Audit could tell you better than I ever could but it only counts win/loss not margin of victory. It also uses SOS for 75% of its calcits current formulation, the index comprises a team's winning percentage (25%), its opponents' winning percentage (50%), and the winning percentage of those opponents' opponents (25%). The opponents' winning percentage and the winning percentage of those opponents' opponents both comprise the strength of schedule (SOS). Thus, the SOS accounts for 75% of the RPI calculation and is 2/3 its opponents' winning percentage and 1/3 its opponents' opponents' winning percentages.
