I'd be willing to pay more for a better coach but to just give Richman more money seems absurd.

A better coach would look for his first opportunity out of town once he saw the funding and resources that went into the basketball department.

Sad thing is the majority of the money is going to the football department to try and maintain a level it once was, no longer is, and will likely never be again.

We get it, you don't like Dave. Since you're not going to attend games and support the team anymore you could also stop posting. Especially since you only pick stats that fit your narrative. No it's not always pretty, yes I'm critical of our style of play frequently and I hate that we don't do a better job of featuring our best players but we've been to 5 straight Summit League championship games and I'd rather be playing in that game that get one win over a P5 during the regular season. Sure would be cool to do both but as long as we are competing for championships we are better off than 80% of teams in the country so even though it could be better, it could definitely be much worse

This is a fair point.

If we want to be a basketball powerhouse, we will need to ante up to do so. We may have overspent on the football side and underspent on basketball. Being a Gonzaga level team could open doors to FBS conferences also, and the investment to get there is a lot less in basketball. Only need a few star players and a good coach. Heck, FAU pulled it off in a crap basketball facility.

This is a sport where anyone can succeed, its why you see schools like Saint Mary's and Oral Roberts get good seeds in the tournament. They'd never have a prayer at football success.
