I'd probably be classified as a Richman apologist when it comes to this thread but I have my beefs with him as well. Nothing to do with his personality or his coach speak but I don't think he's developed players, especially big men, very well. It seems like players improve slightly as they reach upper classes but you don't see that Dexter Werner or Lawrence Alexander type leap in anyone in recent memory. I also think he was too bullheaded when the program took a dip from 2017 to 2018 by not adapting to his players and forcing his players to adapt to him. I think/hope he's learned from that and become a better coach because of it.

In general though, as I've said a bunch of times on this thread/board, I think he's done a good job with what he has to work with.
I'm with you. I'm a Richman apologist only in that I'm aware A.) I'm an idiot when it comes to basketball (and many other things), and B.) We've made the dance a few times with him. A school like NDSU is never going to fire a basketball coach for on-court results with that track record.

That said I'm still full send on the #bringbacksaul or #bringbacktim bandwagons

He also has some odd rotations, like with Knotek and Gue. That said, he is a great coach come tournament time, has a system that is consistently good.
Would’ve been great if we could’ve kept our starting PG in waiting...

Clearly behind Dez, if you've paid attention at all. And not fully healthy it seems.

well another swing and a miss then.

Pay Tim Miles $500k/year and sign a 10 year deal. Pack the SHAC. Move to Mountain West. Publicity will pay for itself.

Our team would be a lot better if we had scoring point guard. It would help to space the floor and open up lanes for everybody else.

    Vinnie - shot 83 for 223 from 3 last year alone. 37%

    Dez is 1 of 18 from 3
    Sam is 18 of 52 from 3
Total 19 of 70 from 3. 27% from that position - Vinnie made more 3s last year than our PG have attempted this year!

It just isn't good enough to win at high level right now and limits our team's ceiling for next year too.

I still can't believe Nebraska let him go.
