He just sounds like he "gets it" when you listen to him. He doesn't make excuses but isn't coaching cliche after coaching cliche. The thing I really like about him most, is that he doesn't seem like a rigid coach. He is able to adapt to the skill-set of the players he has, not force his system on them. And if someone isn't having success in one game, he's willing to let another player try their hand.

I think the assistants are usually more in charge of substitutions and lineups. At least one of them is. Dave should reign in that more.

NDSU took Richman over Craig Smith & Eric Henderson.

sdsu has inside track on the title in a "rebuilding" year.
Omaha is getting hot & ORU straight dominated us in the post.

SDSU doesn't have the inside track to anything (yet). They've got the same amount of conference losses as NDSU does and they've still got to come to Fargo.

There's no excuse why NDSU couldn't still win the conference regular season title. If they don't Richman will shoulder much of the blame and deservedly so.

Smith would be gone by now anyway.

You should be. I don't see it happening and no chance we even compete in the first round of the dance.

Passed on Hendo??? Richman hired Hendo and brought him back to the college ranks. I can only imagine what your response would have been if NDSU hired a high school coach following a tournament win.

Thats not to slam Hendo, he is a great guy and a terrific basketball coach.
