Quote from Klieman at his press conference today in regards to the "playoff energy":

"Everybody knows that the energy and the focus is going to be ramped up. We constantly talk about raising the bar within our program and we need to raise the bar next week with our fans. We're going to have a great opponent coming in here and I hope our fans raise the bar and make that an electric atmosphere."

Sounds like a challenge issued by the head coach to me....

Do you know who really got screwed in this years playoffs?

    FCS football fans

Teams 17-24 shouldn't even be in the playoffs they are junk teams that have a less than ZERO chance at winning it all. 16 teams is fair and 10 of them have little to no chance of winning it all either.

Montana State Buyouts favored over UIW.
    JMU big faves over Delaware.
Saw somewhere else that UNI has something like a 94% chance to win at home over Lamar.

Two years ago this week we were talking about facing CalPoly's option. A year ago this week we were talking about Northern Arizona's QB and their passing game. Have we learned our lesson about our expectations and Big Sky teams in the first round?

For Montana State . . . First there was “The Brawl of the Wild” in Missoula, followed by “Withdrawl of the Buy-Out” in Fargo.

The Sagarin projection for UNI vs. UC Davis in Round 2 is pretty close. Could be an interesting score to watch if it comes to pass.

That may be true... but NCAA regulations require AT LEAST as many at-large participants in a tournament as there are conference auto-bids. So we're stuck with a minimum of 20 playoff participants right now. And since there was recently 11 auto-bids, we're stuck with 24 until someone decides to change it back to 20 again. 16 just ain't gonna happen in the foreseeable future, so no point in complaining.

It's fine the way it is, these first round games are a blast to watch. How many times do I get to see Lamar play in a given year or better yet Duquesne, or SEMO, or ETSU....wait what am I saying here?

I love first round weekend. The stakes are low (for me) and I get to see a lot of fun football .
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
