Timing is going to have to hurt their recruiting class one would think. You have to believe Houston is going to try and snipe several of the verbals JMU has? That is going to put a pretty big kink in their transfer pipeline as well?

This is the downside to the early signing period for FCS schools. When Kleiman leaves, I hope like hell its to a top P5 school as a coordinator to start.

I honestly can't believe they really thought they had a lock on him. Jumping from the Citadel to JMU after 2 years should have given them some kind of indication.

This is why I don't read into Head Coaches getting contract extensions. To me it's all just BS to make some feel all warm and fuzzy inside. JMU fans got all excited because Houston was going to be around for 10 years blah blah. We all knew that wasn't going to happen. Some coaches may stick around for a little longer but doubt many if any will stick it out till the end of their newly signed contract. I hope Klieman sticks around for a while but in reality who knows when he'll be gone. With all of that being said, a JMU loss to Colgate this weekend would be fitting and amusing.
