It’s up there, perhaps higher, with having former coaches work their way up the NFL coaching ladder and being coordinators and even a head coach.

When we moved to ND we noticed that a lot of folks truly underestimate potential in general. A lot of we could never do that or that won't work in ND.....i know we are talking about something entirely different, but the "its lil old nd" mentality is the one thing that I found odd.

It’s just the way North Dakotans are. That’s how most of not all of the older people were raised. Ultra conservative and don’t want to jump right into things.

Yeah, I get it. I have lots if family here...some were first residents of their respective towns. Plus, I was raised right across the border in MT. So it's no big shock. It's Just something I have always found odd...... A group of folks who if u tell them they can't do it or its impossible will most certainly accomplish it. However, ask them to do something or encourage them to shoot for the stars and they will talk themselves into being incapable.

I used to be guilty of small time thinking as well. ND folks need to think bigger. Klieman leaving for a big job would be lit AF. You won't go anywhere if you don't try.

    That's small time ND thinking.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
