He isn’t about to lie like that at a presser when asked direct question. He said he hasn’t been offered as of now, and I believe him. Will the official offer come tomorrow? Possibly. Maybe a solid follow-up question would have gotten more info in what may be coming.

My gut says this is a done deal and they're holding off officially offering him so he can say he hasn't been offered. It's just a matter of when it's official. Best case is they have their current staff recruit and let Coach K finish out the season, but maybe that's wishful thinking.

There are two reasons I think this is possible. One, they have already taken a long time on this after it was obvious Coach S was retiring. Two, the relationship between Gene and Chris.

Should be interesting.

Does the team meet on Sundays or do they have the day off? I suspect CK will accept the job Monday morning so he can inform the team before the story breaks like it did for Bohl. I expect CK will definitely coach the SDSU game, but the NC is still up in the air depending on the team, ML & GT. Further suspect the decision to coach in Frisco will depend on how many coaches it looks like CK is taking with. Also wonder if Kramer is now in play due to his family reasons for staying in Fargo are now five years older. Happy to hear that KSU already has a great S&C coach.
