Also, I’m guessing KSU was waiting for this banquet to be over before moving forward on new coach. Would have felt they were disrespecting Snyder by naming a HC before this end-year/official retirement banquet. We’ll likely know more in a.m., as KSU needs to let this banquet deal play its course in media.

Depending on the circumstances of his dismissal, he might have a buyout coming.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Right—major negative to have former coach looking over your shoulder.

Also, the more I think and read about Snyder, I think he is a narcissist/ego-maniac, and did all the letter writing to opposing teams and the aw-shucks stuff only to bring attention back to himself. Stigs is a far-back runner-up to Snyder.

Doesn’t Snyder have some health problems or something?

There is a poster over on the K State board that is pretty big donor and said the high donors (7 figure type) are extremely up in arms over Klieman...

Up in arms meaning they don't like it?

I still think all the news this week about Klieman was a "trial balloon" to gauge the response by the fanbase.

He had treatments for throat cancer last year.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

Correct...he was soliciting well written letters from fans to submit to Gene.

I think the consensus is that Gene is the only one who wants Klieman ....
