Just a thought for the "stay in house" posters. NDSU basketball stayed in house 1 to many times and the program cratered.

The football program has always been on a completely different level compared to it's peers than the men's basketball program has. An external hire is more risky given the crazy amount of momentum the football team has.

This next year may end up defining Matt Larsen's legacy at NDSU as he'll likely be making hires at the two highest profile coaching positions in the athletic department. Gene Taylor was 4 for 5 on those hires (Richman being the only "miss").

I really don't care who the coach of this team is. I have no strong feelings for anyone. I just want the team to keep being the team I love.

I disagree. Early signing period is different now. Very little or no crossover with recruiting. Bohl was slimy the way he left. It's just an apples to oranges comparison. Bohl brought the entire staff with him and was a dick with recruiting. K state vs Wyoming is different. Plus Klieman wasnt buddies with Bohl. The current staff is pretty tight.

I just meant the shock factor for fans knowing a coach can go at anytime.

Of course the timeline of things is very different. Much different scenario with recruiting, coaches, etc.

It won't be 3 million. Bill Snyder and his 30 years and 200 wins got 3 million. KU just paid Less Miles 2.7 million.

He might get two, but be just under that. He will definitely be the lowest paid coach in the Big 12. I get the feeling that's why it was so easy for Seth Litrell to turn it down.

According to the magic 8-ball, Chuckthepigskin was option #1, but they couldn't afford him. The 8-ball said we will lose Klieman, and maybe Lakes. It also said all possibilities of getting AC/DC this year are done.

Many are though. They keep talking about how he wouldn't be able to recruit Big XII talent.
