I don't know about that. SDSU finally made the semifinals last year and embarrassed themselves. Sam Houston has been embarrassing themselves in the semifinals for a while. E Wash had a bad year last year, but I think they may be a semifinal candidate again themselves. I don't see SDSU standing out just yet as being alone in the 2nd tier.

Problem with EWU is they still don't play defense. No where near the level of NDSU, JMU or SDSU.

Agree with this, but I also think those picks against JMU last year really (obviously) took them out of the game. Like Longhorn said, I would be surprised if SDSU doesn't have a better showing against JMU this year.

...and, if these teams continue their courses, It'll be JMU meeting SDSU in the semi's again on one side, with NDSU waiting in the wings on the other side, and I guess we'll see...

EWU's passing game would scorch SDSU. SDSU wouldn't get stopped often...but Taryn could throw a pick or two. And SDSU just doesn't seem to do well when they have long travel. If SDSU has to play away in the playoffs, I think they are done. EWU plays the same no matter where they are.

I don't know... maybe in the regular season EWU is consistent but in the playoffs they haven't played a playoff game away from home since Frisco in 2010. Yet they haven't made it back to Frisco since then despite making the playoffs 4 times. So that's 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016 they've lost at home in the playoffs either in the quarters or the semis. I think they've got SDSU beat in the playoff choking department.
