Extended coverage locally on 107.9 The Fox, Bison 1660 and 92.7 FM includes "Bison Tailgate" from 11 a.m. to noon with Brad Jones, "Bison Game Day" from noon to 2 p.m. and "Bison Hotline" for two hours following the network broadcast with hosts Keith Brake, Chris Hanson and former NDSU defensive end Cole Jirik.

It has been a long two weeks! Happy that football is back today.

UNA is competitive, dominates, and loses by 42.

I went and watched their first game of the season versus Southern Utah. They’re a confident, cocky group of young men that don’t quit easily. This is strong culture that will help them in the near future, but not today as this is a bad match-up for them.

NDSU’s front seven will be huge issues for their offense that relied on either short passes or for their QB to take off for huge runs. On defense, they did well if the RBs moved along the line of scrimmage, but constantly gave up big yards if the RBs ran straightforward. Stopping NDSU’s Power-Run is going to have them worn out by halftime.

I have NDSU winning 51-16.
