The difference is we have less garage doors than National Championships.

Hugely functional design though. Ability to seamlessly practice both indoors and out, with built in observation decks. Everything seems very practical.

    you da real MVP
    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS

Easy to simulate crowd noise during practice or outdoors if we have a road game and need to simulate cold, wind or heat. We also have a 2nd outdoor lighted field. Separate locker room so much more convenient for players, who right now have to go to the dome and then walk or drive to the practice fields and back. Separate team meeting room. Separate weight room so players don't have to come in at odd hours. It will make the players happier because the bubble barely gets above freezing during the dead of the winter. Shorter walk to the SHAC.

Remember 2010 when we only had grass field's with no lights and Dacatah Field had dim lights and 80s style astro turf? And the weight room was less than half the size in the BSA and was for the entire athletic department?

Your point is completely valid. but I still had to chuckle, what opponents does NDSU need to simulate crowd noise for? I mean sure, there have been like 5 games where it would have been useful in the last decade, but doesnt change the fact that nearly every single away game is a graveyard from an atmosphere perspective.
