If they start painting FCS playoff appearances next to them I'll start getting worried.

Doubt it will prevent our FCS players from transferring to FBS.

Practice facilities are a Recruiting tool. Has nothing to do with retention.

How’s that work in an era where every player is a free agent every year and a program is effectively rerecruiting an entire roster every year?

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

Use your imagination. "Practice facilities are a Recruiting tool."

    Agree. Totally different issue

Tools like NIL could help in retention. But it starts with culture. Maybe the culture should be more on individual legacy. It's kind of been hijacked by the success of NFL guys. If were so focused on "you could be the next Christian Watson, Jabril Cox or Trey Lance", are we suprised when players do anything to get there, including transferring? I digress

You should recruit your existing players everyday and every year. It's good leadership. Reality is most players will never leave and most aren't P5 level talent and will never see the huge payday. Thats true of 98% of all college athletes. More players that leave ultimately do it due to lack of playing time
