Violating team rules is worse than violating laws (depending on severity) when it comes to camaraderie and meshing with teammates. I think that is especially true with QB/WR. I feeling Cain is just gonna be a bust here. Hope I’m wrong.

Gosh I would think the players would be able to easily look past something like that but it is so uncommon at NDSU(unlike many programs) maybe you're right. I wonder if it may also be a trust thing with the coaching staff and his reps will be affected. I also hope not, the boyz are a little thin at WR.

Purifoy did not return a punt, was a PA announcer mistake. 84 vs 24. (Heit)

I was surprised that Purifoy was total MIA.

I am listening to the Cal-Poly Radio broadcast of the game today at work. Its pretty funny when the lights go out.

Guy #1 "This is a televised games so the commercial breaks are a bit longer than what we are used to."
Guy #2 "Yeah, now they have even turned out the lights."

Obviously an impossible situation for a radio crew who is just trying to explain what is going on, but funny to listen to.

So i went and looked at some of the replays of the supposed WR burning the D and just focusing on the long completions

There is literally 1 play were the CalPoly WR gets this "good" separation on the first team defense. and that was the deep post pattern in a 1v1 situation with no safety help.

    I repeat....... 1 play ........

My favorite part (other than seeing Menard and Marlette kicking ass):

Backup D gets put on the field on fumble at the Bison 7.
1st down: Hankey and Waege tackle, 2-yard gain
2nd down: Waege destroys the QB for a 3-yard loss
3rd down: Alo hurries the QB into an incompletion
    4th down: McCormick sack

1st and goal at the Bison 7, turns into a turnover on downs at the Bison 13.

    Backup D has bragging rights.

Not perfect and thus not acceptable. In spite of my disclaimer, this is in the deepest purple possible. I am guessing at least two interceptions, aka picks against UNA.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

We moved down to the 50 yard line behind the Bison bench in the 4th, and the energy we felt when the D came off the field after that stop was pretty awesome. The 1's were all sorts of jacked up for the 2's.
