Thank God the technology for a fireball detector doesn't exist.

The buzzer went off as I went through. I said 2 metal hips they did a quick wand and away we went. I was really surprised on how fast it was.

My daughter's an NDSU student, and said the student entrance was painfully slow. She got into the building just as Lance Dunn scored the first touchdown, which was right before the lights went out. She said that there was still a long line of students in line behind her who were still waiting to get in, and that it was taking forever to go through the metal detectors at the south side student entrance. I went in the west entrance at 1:30 and got through in just a couple of minutes. It's possible that they were giving some extra scrutiny to the students, but she was not very happy and hoped that the she and her friends would have an easier time of it in the future. Of course, helpful father that I am, I just told her to get in line earlier next time.

I came in from the West, around 1:40 and it took about 25 minutes. As for the winter coats it should not be an issue, you don't take your coat off and the stuff you must remove according to the signs will be the same.

They are much more thorough when checking the students for contraband.

Don't know if they are still doing it with the detectors being installed, but they used to pat down the students. I do know, of course, some things got inside but they were thorough enough to find bottles in cowboy boots and in women's bras. No word on whether security yelled, "And It's Up Against The Wall Redneck Mother".

Because MANY of the students were coming in so slowly. I can also understand why there was a bit of confusion regarding where the students should sit in section 10. (Checking tickets of the non students, who may have moved lower thinking those seats were available.) The upper part of section 10 looked like reserve seating to me.
Hopefully they will be able to speed up the process for this students before the next game?

Everyone will get used to it, get better at it, and people will walk right through. The student section should be faster than it was before, because the metal detector will do the work.
Looking forward to Summit & MVFC[SIGPIC]
