When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.

Email sent out on reserved tailgating.
Just a reminder for reserved tailgate parking at tomorrow’s game and all future games – for the safety of everyone enjoying the tailgate area the parking attendants have the authority to shut down the lots and prevent cars from entering at any time when pedestrian traffic gets too heavy. Even if you have a reserved tailgate pass the attendants will not let you in. At the first game the lots shut down 2 ½ hours before game time. Large crowds are anticipated the next three games so please plan accordingly.
On another note recycling bags will be handed out prior to entry into the tailgate lots. Remember to recycle your plastic bottles and aluminum cans.

A. Tailgating schools be opened at 7:00 AM for every game, regardless of start time. It would greatly reduce the need for the hardcore fans to get in early so they can maximize our rather short legal tailgating hours.
B. As someone else mentioned, premium spots for busses, rv's, trailers and campers should be available so people can get set up the night before. One rent a cop wouldn't be that expensive and it would significantly help out of towners plan for tailgating. No overnighting on the lot but grilling could be allowed and quiet hours start at 10:00. Iowa State did a marvelous job of this when we were there. There were alumni spread throughout campus the night before sitting around and grilling. It was pretty awesome.
C. All of West lot is reserved, GA spots spread around North campus.
They shut down reserved parking at freaking noon? Who's the genius johnny come lately that thinks it's a good idea to drive to their spot 3 hrs after it starts?
At that point, I park elsewhere and save the hassle but you cant fix stupid and I'm sure they argued they paid for that specific spot and by golly they just have to park there

Nothing more annoying then people who dont tailgate but just park, and show up after noon. Sell reserved spots on the east side for those people to open up more spots for people who want to actually show up early and tailgate.

Sometimes there is a conflict with being there early. Like us tomorrow, we have a kids event that goes until about noon. Our family would still like to tailgate in our reserved spot but may not get there until a little after noon. So we shouldn't be able to tailgate tomorrow because we can't get there early enough?
