Why do the wabbits get some ESPN3 games?
Like stated earlier, Playoffs will probably be E3 as the move to PLUS was a conference choice, even so keep it till December 25th then and its still only $20

Regardless how small it would be encouraging if NDSU is able to get something out of ESPN for this deal.
As before, they sold their coverage rights to NBC/VNL. That’s why I believe ESPN has to go through NBC/VNL. That and NBC/VLN are the only ones who can permit anyone to tap into their satellite feed.

YOu know....I will be bummed if its not on espn college extra for directv. We just renegotiated with directv and got my sports pack for $3 until december. and its nice to have the games on DVR. But I think it still will be on those channels.

    Having said that...its 4 months. $20

I still remember the days post college when I had to wait until mondays star trib to get the score, then a few years later only audio streaming. Now I watch the Bison in my living room. I still kind of shake my head in disbelief about that. I can deal with $20 if I have to.
I don't care how the vote ended up. They still suck and always will.

Yes, I do expect all NDSU games to be on ESPN College Extra. Much like ESPN moving them to ESPN+ for streaming purposes because of the strong viewership numbers, they’ll want the same for their satellite services.

I have zero issue paying $5 per month for it. What I don’t like is having WatchESPN and ESPN+. Just combine it and charge people per month. Really annoying that we’ll need to flip around to a different ESPN app to watch different games.

I’ll be at every SDSU game until Sept 29th in Fargo so I’ll just keep it through the Summit League tourney. It’s about $35 total to watch all the MVFC and Summit League games. That’s really cheap. I just can’t stand the inconvenience of having to flip around the apps.

    Dom has all the answers.

    Espn+ only, no College extra

Playoffs on ESPN3 and broadcast networks for this year, at least

Dammit. Glad I ordered a Gen4 Apple TV the other day...

Is Gen4 needed? Signed up for ESPN+ couple weeks ago. Watched the Yankee game Thursday night on iPad and streamed it to TV with Apple TV. My Apple TV is one of the very early versions and worked great. Am I missing something here?

I'm not sure. The ESPN+ website specifies Gen4, so I bought one to make sure. Don't want to wait until the last minute, since I host a watch party. I got a pretty good deal on it, so no big deal.

EDIT: I'm thinking it may be different if you mirror it from your tablet. I don't use my laptop, I just stream it right from the app on the Apple TV.
