    Default FCS Polls since 2007

Somebody has been doing some nice work on polls wikipedia. For example:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_N...tball_rankings

If you go to the bottom, they have links to polls from the beginning of DI-AA but there was no coaches poll until 2007 apparently.

Anyway, I ripped all the data and added the missing poll information and, if accurate, NDSU has been rated #1 in 59 coaches polls and 48 media polls. NDSU set the MVFC record for most weeks at #1 in 2012.

It looks to me like NDSU has actually been underrated a little bit.

Yep, especially in the coach's poll. I guess you could call it voter fatigue trying to throw a bone to some other team along with the "they've gotta come back down to earth at some point" mentality. It almost always seems like NDSU falls more than they should after taking their token loss for the season. Of course that's my opinion and I'm a homer. But the main problem with that is then those voters refuse to move them back up unless a team in front of them loses so you end up with NDSU being ranked below paper tigers like SHSU and Jacksonville St, among others, at the end of the regular season in those polls.

First, they adopt the UN_ mentality of "the worm is/has to turn at some point." Second, I read an article on the internet a couple of months back about NDSU dropping in the polls more after a loss than most teams so it has to be true.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

The FCS polls are a-kin to FBS comparison of an undefeated UCF being ranked above 1 loss P5’s best of Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, USC, Florida State, etc. What happens Every day at the FCS Level, is scoffed and ridiculed at the FBS Level. Undefeated UCF and Western MI would be ranked #1 by FCS pollsters.
