Default Any 2018 Verbals Likely Not To Redshirt?

We know that true freshman can now play four games without losing their redshirt status. Are there any of the 2018 class that anyone thinks might not redshirt at all like "Legendowski"?
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Looking at the depth chart, late high school injuries, and height and weights required to play, my guess would be no.

But if I had to guess Jayden Price as a free safety. Kids insanely fast and he was also a QB. When I say insanely fast, he ran a 10.71 100 meter. That's a guy who can cover large areas

One of the receivers will have a chance

Defensive backfield is very crowded for 2018, so anyone playing much there would surprise me. WR, yes there’s a chance there.

If a freshman were to start, it would almost certainly be at WR.

It is and it isnt. Grimsley returns but the rest of the players haven't started. Obviously Hendricks, Bachmeier, and Jaxon Brown have been in the system but they haven't started. Tutsie hasn't played in a game yet. And I dont think any of those guys have speed like Price has. The way our safeties are utilized it's tough to distinguish between free and strong safety like the days of Heagle and Dudzik who had different skill sets. I dont think many people saw Grimsley playing as a true freshman either. I think its very unlikelu Price would start but I wouldn't be shocked if he cracks the 2 deep, especially if there is an injury

At this point and unless there are some critical injuries, I think the WRs are good enough that they'll all redshirt, but several of them will get four-game try outs.

When coach mentioned Jayden in one of his appearances this last winter he didn't say anything definitive, but I got the impression that he really didn't have any idea how they were going to use Jayden, just yet anyway.

I would guess he will be involved in a lot of different roles in practice this fall. I think they will take the whole year to try to figure out how best to use him.

His elite athleticism goes beyond long speed. His arm strength is nothing to sneeze at, and he is obviously a very smart guy. I wouldn't rule out QB just yet. If for no other reason than the roster is just replete with safeties and WR's. A little more depth and competition at QB might not be such a bad thing. Might be fun having our own version of Russell Wilson.

I watched all his highlights from football and basketball....hard to determine leadership qualities from film. The kids vertical is ridiculous, but he didn't improve his track numbers this spring. I think his best 100 was a 10.8 something? He did look bigger in his senior basketball highlights so it looks like he was already lifting and getting ready for his football career.

One thing that concerned me was a complete lack of swagger and no evident meanness in his games. Coaches need to get out their big torches and light a fire in this one, he might just be another legend in the making.
