Asterisk by NDSU's Total Allocated ($7,880,233):

This amount takes into account $14,142 that the athletics department transferred back to the school and - under a 2015 change in the NCAA's reporting system - is recorded as a revenue loss. This transfer amount cannot exceed the sum of money the department received from student fees and direct funding from the school: $5,078,765.
Question for someone better at accounting - is this a good or bad thing for NDSU?
    Hail the BISON!!!

$14 grand? It’s neither good or bad. Changes the subsidy by 0.2 percentage points. Nothing burger.

Just listened -- Keith did an excellent job of summarizing what is going on.

Drilling down into the vast majority of these "Mid Major" FBS programs... their finances are a freaking joke -- where is all this additional money you get from being in the Sun Belt, CUSA, MAC, or even MWC?

NDSU and the University of Montana are doing it right at the FCS level.

I picked one random team from the MAC and their rights/licensing revenue was $4.6M which is not that much more than the $4.2M for NDSU.

Okay, Audit, please take us through who is doing good and not so good in our MVFC peers. (from the perspective of not making the state and students pay too much for their athletics)

At first glance when you compare UND to NDSU, you all did, don’t lie to yourself, we appear better off. Then when you consider hockey....... fuck.

    More like tehehe.

Especially when you know that hockey sucks up all the air in the room, that UND is not sitting well financial. Additional savings are really needed and they ain't coming from hockey.

No, that is incorrect and I completely disagree. You must be trolling.

Both schools have roughly the same budget, but you are subsidized at 47 % and we are at 29 %. Please explain how that is ‘better’? If I am wrong, please correct me.

Ignoring the facts about current recruiting trends, who is going to fund the hypothetical growth of your FB program? The state? The hockey donors? You guys are delusional.

When you decide to come out as a NDSU Bison Football fan, please know that we will all be here to support you through that difficult time …
