Hopefully they don't do the series, "Most Indispensable Players/Can't Afford to Lose Player." Their other work is pretty solid and well done, but this series seems to turn into a curse for the Bison.

All jokes aside, not having a true number one receiver like Vraa or Urzendowski could spell trouble.

they just happened to be guys who caught every thing their way...but both Vraa (with Wentz) and Urzendowski(with Stick) numbers declined as they got older...which is weird considering one played with a future NFL MVP and the other had high school chemistry already established. so were they "true" number 1s?

Dont think NDSU's system really focuses on a single WR getting his 6-8 catches per game, grabbing 80 passes for the season, 1000+ yards, 10+ td's.

This system is designed to make guys like Vraa and Urzendowski into number 1 receivers. If you can get a seam and catch the ball nearly every time, that's what we want.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

True. Percentages of plays where we ran the damn ball.
    2014--66.38
    2015--66.54
    2016--66.85
    2017--70

Considering NDSU single season records barely reach those targets, you have to be correct. 11 TD's 1100 yards with 70ish catches are the team records.

If anyone is ambitious, it would be fun to see what our biggest worries were headed into 2013. D line maybe? TE?
