Dont think NDSU's system really focuses on a single WR getting his 6-8 catches per game, grabbing 80 passes for the season, 1000+ yards, 10+ td's.
Vraa seemed to be kind of injury prone but I always got the impression that Wentz was more inclined to spread the ball around than Jensen was. Vraa's best season by far was with Jensen in 2013. Jensen seemed to have a tendency to lock onto Vraa or Ryan Smith which, by Jensen's senior year in 2013, was just fine because those guys were pretty good at winning 1-on-1 matchups and that's pretty much all they saw given how dominant the NDSU run game was that year.

Never forget the long TD pass to Vraa in the New Hampshire semi; thing of beauty.

There's lots of good reads buried in the Bisonvill archives regarding preseason prognostication.

Despite some predictions that ended up very wrong there's plenty that nailed them too.

I couldn't find 2014 or 2016 and didn't have the energy to dig any more than a simple search.

The biggest weakness is our kicker's leg getting worn out from kicking so many extra point and ensuing kickoffs.
It's OK to not be OK.

You guys haven’t had a true alpha dog WR in a long time. Not that it’s necessary to win but it would give a lot greater maths in of error for victory.

As a non-biased observer, who do you think was the last "alpha dog" at WR? Warren Holloway?

It depends on how you define "Alpha Dog."

    Vraa--NDSU records.
    Receiving Yards Season, 1191 (2013)---Career--2957
    Receptions Career--195
    TD's---Season-- 15 (2013)
    Career--28
As I recall he had some extra playing time.

That’s the most recent guy I can think of. Heckendorf? Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad you guys don’t have one. That’s the last thing we need is you fucks to have a guy you can toss it up to when you need a big play.
