I don't know specifics of the agreement, but isn't the work around as easy as a recruit initiating contact with CK or staff and asking if they would be interested in him at K-State? If so, there is no need to violate the agreement.

The agreement states that only recruits that have been contacted by the new institution get a pass. This qualifies, I believe.

Are there restrictions on non-coaches talking to recruits (existing players, AD, etc?)

If I recall I think because he was offered by KState previously that he can then be fair game for them again with the changes without it being any sort of violation, I may be wrong

Yes. another interesting development. It seems and offer went out today or yesterday to a kid that did not have a NDSU offer but did have offers to several MVFC offers

We probably didn't recruit him because there wasnt mutual interest. Thsts the beauty of K State... Klieman can target players he normally couldn't land
