My point is that they don't have football. As far as Army and the other service academies, they have large alumni sports groups, think Team Makers on steroids, who take up most of the slack for costs.

Just look at it as part of the ex-President's "Fair Share" and "Shared Sacrifice" agenda.

The Plough was not high on the great NDSU presidents list. All I remember was him whining about the lack of support from the state, rather than being creative and moving the university forward like Chapman.

BTW, when do we get Chapman statue or building in his honor?

Word on campus was that Plough was trying to leave almost as soon as he got here...coming from a private school, he was completely unprepared for the legislative budget sessions and didn't want to deal with them...

There was a vote of the student body. Students who knew they wouldn’t benefit voted to pay for it anyway.

Plus in my opinion the students have gotten kind of a raw deal lately with some of the changes that have happened. Football they have their best section taken away and then in the SHAC they go from behind the bench to behind one of the baskets. In fact because of this I think they should be paying a little less in fees. Yes I understand the athletic department can make way more money by doing what they did, and hopefully they have compensated the students somewhat because of this.
The students are sending less money to the athletic department this next school year than they did the last one.

Pay whatever fees you wish, just don't complain with low fee levels if the number of seats for students keeps getting cut back.
