    Default Student Fees

What are your thoughts on student fees to support athletics? As I understand, we are near the bottom, or THE bottom of the MVFC as far as using student fees to pay for athletics.

I'm typically not a huge advocate of passing major expenses on to the students via student fees (like JMU), but would it be inappropriate to be in the MEDIAN for student fees in the MVFC? How big of a difference would it make?
    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS

We're one the lowest student fees in the FCS, and we should keep it that way.

Keep the fees low. Charge for football tickets and if the demand ever grows strong enough for other sports.

Let the students decide their fees.

Because if we are being honest here; a vast majority of students do not attend games or really care much about NDSU athletics. Who would want to pay for something they don't use?

It needs to be saved something huge, like moving up a division. Otherwise we are in good enough shape financially

In my opinion, this slide started when the dome was built/opened. Students were relegated to some pretty poor seats as compared to Dacotah Field days when half the seating was student section (albeit smaller seating capacity and no, I am not wishing for an open air stadium). Why, as a second class student citizen, would I want to clamor to pay more for athletic programs like football that I have a very low likelihood of attending as a spectator. The bandwagon will chug along for a long time as long as winning continues, but the crowd is pretty well aged that attends football. There will need to be replacements some day and scorned alumni are not as likely to open up the check book.
