Actually they had to eliminate the basement because as they started to dig they were hitting large chunks of UND's football program. The cost to put all the crap in a landfill outweighed the benefit of a basement. But not to worry, once again the Bison built right over the top of UND.

I suppose moving all the National Championship trophies in and out has started to become a hassle.

No reason for them. This is all in addition to the Fargodome, not a replacement of it.

Meh on the grass field. On the one hand, it would look better from University if they flipped the fields, but I bet they thought of the late afternoon sun. The building will block the sun from the outdoor field in late afternoon. Should make practice easier.

I love virtually everything about it. Aesthetics, functionality, features. I'm wondering a bit about the size in relation to soccer. I hope it's wide enough to fit a regulation soccer pitch inside. Soccer, golf, softball and baseball may not be high on the list of priorities for this facility(look at the name on the side of it), but it's better to have the capability and rarely use it, than to not have the capability when you really need it.

    I think 120 yards x 60 yards might work better.[emoji41]

I think a regulation soccer pitch is minimum 70 yards across so probably to narrow.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

Coaching offices will likely remain at the dome. I would imagine much of the space will be used after practices.

Nobody in our conference has grass fields anymore anyways. But yeah I'm kind of meh on the siding but I like the look facing University Drive with the doors open. Looks a bit too much like an industrial warehouse and it could use a few more windows or something to accent all the steel siding...but I'm not criticizing it at all. This is a huge ass building and It's pretty freaking awesome. That's big time. Recruits see this and know we mean serious fuckin business!!

Does Nebraska look better than ours?
