Team USA dominating India, with wins in all 7 matches, as we head to 92kg and Hayden Zillmer vs Deepak Punia.

Punia is young, but was a 2016 Cadet world champion who is growing into the weight.

One note, Zillmer is #1 in the US in Greco Roman at 98kg. He won the Freestyle Cerro Pelado and took 3rd at Freestyle world team trials at 97kg. Today he is wrestling at 92kg, which is 11 pounds lighter than 97kg. That is a massive cut for a guy as tall and muscular as Zillmer. I'm anxious to see if he has his normal stamina and speed in this.

I think Punia would be favored to win this one.

Makes sense since USA is heavy favorites against India and Sanders and Zillmer are both MN Storm guys
    Yep.

Hayden with the early shot and takedown. Plus a gut wrench to take a 4-0 lead.

    He is MASSIVE at 92kg

Looks like Dustin Schlatter is his personal coach.

Hayden looking very good in this one. 5-0 lead after the first period over the former cadet world champ.

Punia hasn't had an answer for Hayden's length, strength, and size

I figured it'd be Chandler, Sanders, or Schlatter since Hayden is repping the MN Storm.

Zillmer wins 7-0 to keep the USA perfect on the day.

Punia will probably be in the 2020 Olympics, so really good win.

Saw this as I was waiting for my flight out of Cedar Rapids. I wonder if Coach Klieman has connections to the company.
