Fighting Hawks did Fighting find a high school QB from Michigan for this recruiting class, Tommy Schuster.
Was committed to D2 Ashland University - same conference as Ferris State, Grand Valley State etc.
Had offers from non-scholarship FCS Dayton, Valparaiso

Schuster led Chippewa Valley to a 14-0 season and a state championship. In his three years as a starter, Schuster threw for 67 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He passed for 4,958 yards with a 65 percent completion percentage. The 6-foot-1 Schuster also ran for 14 touchdowns and 1,033 yards.
It’s hard to not dis a kid for taking a great opportunity, while pointing out how sad it is up there.
So, let’s just say the kid is going to be great and those fools just stumbled upon him. Even a stopped clock...
I like to surround myself with people who share in my inappropriate comments, sarcasm, and random shenanigans
Could be one of those kids that falls through the cracks. Think brock jensen.

When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.

I’ll be happy if Schuster is that guy the Bison sacks 4+ times in 2020
And I’m happy for Schuster financially - he had the 2 FCS offers from the Pioneer League but they are the non-scholarship league that San Diego has represented in Fargo during the playoffs.
So he took Ashland’s D2 offer instead (1/4 - 1/2)
which had to be a lot less tuition money to him than at Dayton or Valparaiso.
And now the Fighting Hawks will give him even more $.
NDSU’s QB signee dropped from a listed 6’ 4” to 6’ 3” on NDSU’s measurements......common for high school measurements.
Would not be surprised if Schuster is not the listed 6’ 1”, but 6 even or even 5’ 11”......
