I don't see why not. I don't know what the resources are like there, but he's brought in talented kids and hasn't done anything with them. Some games they look like world beaters. The next week a lineup of plastic GI Joes could beat them. Ever since Roberson and the 2014 natty game, people in Fargo have always looked at them to be a tough game and they just haven't delivered. Would surprise me if he comes back. Wouldn't surprise me if he goes.

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.

This is what I remember from Northern Iowa when NDSU first joined the MVFC - the Panthers always had some serious FBS size on the OL.

    https://mobile.twitter.com/RyanClant...29457979043841

So the 3 newly-signed recruits in the photos are:

    Kobe Rios;OL;6-6;300;Rock Island, Ill.

    Tristan Roper;OL;6-5;276;Blue Springs South, Mo.

    Jared Penning;OL;6-7;308;Clear Lake

    - Roper and Penning both had NDSU offers along the way, Rios had multiple offers. Looks like a really good recruiting class for UNI, especially since they got a QB prospect.

Wow impressive, those are some big boys. That's what it is going to take to knock us off our perch. Someone will need to beat us in the trenches.

Illinois State gets a transfer WR from Virginia, Cole Blackman.

"ISU was one of the first teams to reach out to me after I decided to transfer, and they were showing love right away," Blackman said. "I knew I wanted to go to FCS so that I could play right away, and ISU is one of the most elite programs there is. They have a great chance at a national championship next year.

"Anything less would be a disappointment. (Quarterback) Brady Davis and (receiver) Andrew Edgar were reaching out, and they were telling me how much of a dominant offense we will have."

Would this be the ISU-R elite program that has gone 18-16 the last 3 seasons?
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Yup, here is the article where Coach Spack talks about next season and the writer tells you who is returning......does sound like a top-half MVFC team. If not then.....

    https://www.pantagraph.com/sports/co...90ea78749.html

Illinois State football coach Brock Spack has declared a third straight six-win season and a second consecutive year without an FCS playoff berth “not good enough.”

Yet as Spack peruses a roster that loses only three full-time offensive starters and two on defense, he believes with similar conviction that both of those streaks will be broken in 2019.

    Brandon Gustafson - 6’ 6” 260 - OL - Becker MN
Commits to Sioux Falls for college

He chose Sioux Falls over Minnesota State-Mankato. He said he also had late offers from South Dakota, Northern Iowa and Western Illinois. The USD offer was as a preferred walk-on, he said.
