Siverson qbd the 1972 team that beat undies at grunt forks. Great game. I was there, last time I went to a undies home game.

My brother and I were there...right by the last touchdown.

Wish we had video of that.

    Thanks

I was there too. I believe it was the North end zone and I was at the 5 yard line and saw the whole play. I was a junior in HS.

I remember Mike Everson caught a two point conversion right in front of us. Undies were stunned that game. Might have been Erhardt's best coached game at SU. Undies were heavy favorites.

Speaking of satisfying wins, I believe it was 1965 when NDSU beat the Sioux 6-3 on a last minute field goal (Bill Berge?) that made headlines in the publication of an SI article as the "Lowest, Slowest most Wobbly Field Goal of All Time" by the SI sports writer who covered the game. https://commons.und.edu/und-athletics/106/

Interesting stats. I'm guessing these stats are from 2003 - http://www.nmnathletics.com/pdf5/422...1862&SPID=695&...

I forget how old I am. Mike Everson was the center. He had a cup of coffee with the Saints after his Bison career. Very good ball player and he caught a deflected pass ( as I remember) on a broken play.

...the Bison beat UND when UND was ranked #1 in the 70s. Can't think of the year. It was in Grand Forks. Big comeback in the game. Donnie Siverson (QB) walked into the end zone on a bootleg play with almost zero time left.

The silence of the UND crowd was well worth the price of admission. I remember Dahl (first name?) walking off the field with a bloody, smiling face.

I was there also visiting my girlfriend. She knew I was a Bison fan and given they were #1 she was quite certain her Undies would win so she took me to the game. We broke up shortly after that.

Yep I was there also. The boot was a thing of beauty.

Thanks for making me feel not so old, guys.

Were those leather helmets that they were wearing?
    Insert something clever here...
