NDSU Tune-up meet ... near perfect temperatures but lots of wind. Running events generally were not as strong as other meets this year. No standout running performances based on the results I looked at.
Throwers - that is a different story. An OUTSTANDING day. Nearly unbelievable day.
a) new school record in W Hammer Throw, in Top 10 in NCAA Div I (Maddy Niles)
b) new school record in M Hammer Throw, in Top 20 in NCAA Div I (Steffan Stroh)
c) new school record in M shotput, and now the best in NCAA Div I outdoor by almost 2 feet (Payton Otterdahl).
3rd best if Indoor Throws are taken into account; 7th best throw in US for ALL throwers including professionals (per trackandfieldnews.com, combined indoor/outdoor list).
(Did I miss anyone?)
