This is a big addition for the Bison program. AJ has been making a splash on the AAU circuit this spring/summer. For hoops recruiting junkies, I would highly recommend a subscription to North Star Hoops Report. Their lead writer, Ryan James, is the source for Minnesota hoops recruiting. He has written some flattering things about AJ in recent months. Here is a quote from this week:
In April, James had AJ on the first-team all-tourney team at the Comets shootout--alongside big time recruits like Rashad Vaughan, Reid Travis, and Riley Dearing.A.J. Jacobson of ECI Prospects/Fargo Shanley – At 6-foot-6, long, skilled, and with some agility, Jacobson had another great weekend in St. Cloud. Offers have come in from North Dakota State, Nebraska-Omaha, and Cal Poly plus interest from others and it’s easy to see why. A.J. is the type of player who has the feel to quickly make adjustments on the move and produce regardless of how he’s defended.Welcome AJ!!Jacobson and the ECI Prospects were one of the more inspiring story of the weekend defeating teams like the Minnesota Comets, Minnesota Glory, and 43 Hoops with only six guys. Jacobson and company even gave the Pump N Run a good test. AJ did a little of everything with his versatile skill and showed why Northern Iowa is coming to look at him this coming week.

He was wearing a Bison shirt on the news the other night, so I took that as a positive sign. Welcome aboard, AJ!

“I’ve always wanted to be a Bison and it’s home,” said Jacobson, who also considered Cal Poly and Drake.

Congratulations AJ! Big day for you and NDSU. This is well deserved. Welcome to NDSU!
It's nice to see NDSU get the state's top bball prospect.
Back in the day I remember there was a day juniors in bball could sign LOI's is that still around? If so when is it.
