In case you were wondering, here's the clause in coach's contract about recruits after he terminates.

Why is it that every time someone looks at contract language that they disagree with they say "that's not enforceable".

The Bohl staff offered some of our commits last time. They can recruit/offer whomever they please.

I trust Kleiman would not recruit our current recruits. He has great respect for NDSU and knows that NDSU has helped his career immensely. I know if I was in his spot I would avoid NDSU recruits. Now, I would try and sway some other MVFC recruits that went somewhere else that NDSU had looked at that were high level recruits.

My worry with Kleiman is not this years recruits, but subsequent years. If he steals 3-5 kids we are targeting that are from our area (ND, SD, Minn, Wis, Iowa) this may have an impact. Bohl was not really able to beat us to these recruits, but Kleiman will be able to.

I only took Criminal Justice from you and not Civil. I clearly don't understand agreeing to contractual language without any recourse. It's like a NDA or non-compete, surely they can at least drag him into court.

Which they wouldn't do IMO for what it is worth.
