D2 offers doent mean D2 talent. You can find plenty of hidden gems but just the law of averages says if all your players are getting no D1 offers, most or many of them will be D2 talent. Every player can't be a hidden gem and theres a reason they are getting no D1 offers. But I trust our coaches and this kid looks the part. But D2 football is really good in Minnesota so if all the NSIC are offering, the players are certainly talented

Blessed to receive an offer to play Big Ten Basketball for the Hometown University of Minnesota
    IIRC the 6’ 5” David Roddy was NDSU’s 1st offer for the 2019 football class as a QB/ATH -
Three sport athlete with multiple offers in both football & basketball. Basketball offers include Colorado State, Nebraska, Northwestern and Northern Iowa.

The recruiting cycle keeps getting earlier and earlier. Looking at the 2018 recruiting summary they were at 17 scholarship verbals at this time last year (the next one didn't come until 10/12) and I know that was by far the most verbals they had ever gotten before the season started. With the news of Hendricks' commitment they're now at 19 scholarship verbals (and 2 PWO verbals) so far this year.

Also of note is that 2 of the commits at this time last year ended up decommitting before the early signing day. Hopefully this year that number is the same or smaller.

    “Big” day for the #605Hogs!
The Best Players from South Dakota play here!
Looking forward to what Ching, Marlette, Tuszka and Waege contribute to the Thundering Herd this season! The South Dakotan not playing for the Jackrabbits (Derrek Tuszka) had 2 sacks and 6 solo tackles in the 2017 National Championship Game against James Madison!

    Includes NDSU commits:

Will and Eli Mostaert, Lakeville North, srs.: Identical twin lineman/linebacker hybrids who are next to impossible to split up. Intense, physical, effective standing up or with a hand in the ground. Even their 2017 stats are almost identical: Will had 39 tackles (12 for loss); Eli had 42 tackles (12 for loss). Both have committed to North Dakota State.
In the “Best of the rest of Minnesota” category it includes:

Travis Yohnke, Parkers Prairie, TE, sr.: Prototypical tight end at 6-5, 230 pounds. Can deliver a blow as a blocker and stretch the field as a receiver. Caught 46 passes in 2017. Committed to NDSU.

Terrell Hall, Winona, WR/DB, sr.: As shifty and quick as any player in the state, the 5-11, 185-pound Hall is a playmaker on both sides of the ball. Committed to NDSU.
Also includes uncommitted players with NDSU offers:

    - Evan Hull, Maple Grove - RB - 5’ 11” 185

    - Treyton Welch, Buffalo, - WR - 6’ 3” 195

    - Omar Brown, Mpls. North, - DB - 6’ 1” 180
