Recruits always sit above me. Luke Weerts walked by me after the game. I told him that
we like linebackers here. That I hope he'll be the next great on. Nice smile, Probably
because he was recognized. He had a Batavia shirt on.

Saw him walking through the tailgate lots taking in the atmosphere.

NDSU has an offer out to OL Jared Penning - 6'7" 308, Clear Lake, IA -
Other offers include: Kent State (most recent), Northern Iowa, USD, Fighting Hawks, Eastern Michigan, Fordham.

In looking at Northern Iowa’s roster, I see Jared has a brother on the Panthers, Trevor, a 6’ 6” OL himself.
Saw some mention of Jared Penning in the last 2 weeks that Iowa was still talking to him. No offer yet, but still talking. Will be interesting to see what Jared’s back-up plan is if he does not become a Hawkeye. Is it Northern Iowa? Or does NDSU have a chance?

Have seen a lot more mention lately of OL Tristan Roper - 6’ 5” 280 - Blue Springs South HS. (RB Adam Cofield’s HS)
Hope he is really 6’ 5”, really looks the part of an OT - (did see him listed at 6’ 3” somewhere else).

    Week 6 highlights:

When Bussey committed Roper retweeted it. Maybe just because they visited together or maybe a really good sign for NDSU

New story on BisonReport has "NDSU in the lead" for Marshall after he visited yesterday.

He had some very nice things to say about many aspects of his visit last weekend. Sounds like he's still hearing from FBS schools like UCF and Iowa St but no FBS offers yet other than from CUSA bottom feeder Charlotte. Current offers are Chuck South, NC A&T, and Georgetown. Have to like the Bison's chances to land a commitment from him as of now.

Always nice to see athletic playmakers interested in being Bison.
Commit Jalen Bussey is listed at 5’ 9” 155. (WR/RB/ATH)
    Brandon Marshall is listed as a 5’ 9” 184 RB on 247.
Two smaller playmakers in one class???
Will be interested to see if this happens. I suppose CB KR PR are other position possibilities.
With Saybein Clark in his redshirt season, and Seth Wilson possibly redshirting, 2 versatile smaller athletes could blend in well in this recruiting class.

Assuming that 184 is accurate Marshall would seem to be more durable than Bussey. Kind of like a Lance Dunn (listed at 5'9" 208) vs Ty Brooks (listed at 5'9" 178) difference in body types once Kramer gets ahold of them.
