Came across this recruiting stock note on Cameron Baker at HawkeyeNation:

Cameron Baker, LB, Council Bluffs Jefferson, ’19

Stock: arrow, blue, go, point, right icon

Outlook: The longer Baker waits the less likely it is that he’ll end up in the black and gold. The Hawkeyes already have two linebackers committed in Campbell and Jacobs. They’re also well positioned for Omaha’s Nick Henrich. They took four linebackers in the ’18 class and it’s probably unlikely they do the same in this cycle. Baker also is being recruited as a running back, but Iowa doesn’t see him at that spot right now. I get the feeling that he wants to play offense and he could end up going to a smaller school, like Northern Iowa, so he can.

You may be thinking of DJ Stewart. I think he was on listed on recruiting sites as a WR or RB, and he was listed as a DB on signing day: I may also be completely wrong.

Thanks for reminding - had forgotten about DJ Stewart and this - he was so good on offense I was still thinking of him as a RB or possible slot WR.

So now that we have a QB commit does that mean we are giving up on Roddy and Bycznski? Or would we find room for one if they were still interested?

Said he'd been in talks with NDSU, but don't see how they offer a scholarship at this point since they took a QB. Still thought worth posting.

Another kid with mild interest from NDSU; Wyoming sounds more interested; Vigen mentioned.

16 recruits have made a verbal commitment so far. How many more before fall camp and what positions are still in need?

Seems like we still need more Oline commits and I don't think we have a RB or and WR verbals as far as I can tell.
