The Longhorns have one beaten up fan base right now. My son and I went the this year's home game against Oklahoma State. Texas played really well to start the game and then little by little, fans' dreams were crushed. They all saw it coming and were resigned to the loss well before the game was settled on the field. I actually felt sorry for them.

That said, great gameday environment, spectacular campus, very cool town. I was hoping that my son would choose UT to go to school but that's not going to happen.

Texas is an excellent school, but, since you're thinking of getting a place in Tucson, maybe ASU or UofA are an option (they are pretty much the same academically). /ThreadDrift
