True. Many 5-7 rounders are there just to fill out depth or headcount to prevent injuries to starters. Nick can find the perfect situation where the system fits his skills and can legitimately compete

FCS LB with injury history. Is it that shocking he didn't get drafted?

I've confirmed Nick DeLuca is a Tennessee Titan! The former Bison linebacker took a free agency deal before the draft finished. @NDSUfootball

Shoulder is healed. Knee wasnt a serious tear. Dude was invited to the senior bowl and on the Butkus list so he wasnt just some fcs guy. His size is also prototypical and is great in coverage. It's all about the combine

That's awesome! Figured something was up because Nick is way better than a 7th rounder

May be a dumb question, but how can he accept a UFA deal before the draft ended? What if someone else intended to draft him?

Wondering that myself. Heck otherwise The Vikings could have swept in and signed Bo Jackson before he was drafted

Maybe it was contingent on not being drafted?
