As of yesterday the NCAA is allowing teams to hire a 10th full time coach- i know many teams announced who they hired yesterday- anyone have an idea on our plans?

I agree that we need a special teams coordinator that is not a full time coach of another position.

I am on board with this as well and this is not just a knee jerk reaction to the punting during the championship. Just seems like another way to strengthen an already great program.

If I'm not mistaken, Bryan Shepherd was/is our 10th full time assistant coach. I think he was given the title a year early. Am I counting wrong?

The FBS and FCS have different rules. FCS teams are already allowed 11 coaches.

When looking at the list, I saw that too. That's 10.

Don't get me wrong, love me some Bryan Shepherd, but isn't having a DB backs coach and a Cornerbacks coach a little overkill? Just think special teams would demand enough attention to warrant a dedicated coach.

Speaking of Shepherd, I think it was in the press conference on New Year's Day where Klieman said something I thought was pretty funny about him. He said that he (Klieman) and Klanderman can only tell the CBs and DBs how to play the position, Shep can actually show them.

Guys, Shep is VALUABLE! Kid can tell one heck of a story to recruits. Classy young man. Very valuable part.
Everyone just relax, all right? Believe me, if there's one thing Ron Burgundy knows, it's women.
