Congrats to NASA HATAOKA, who won for the first time and doubled her lifetime earnings to over $600k with the $300k prize money in Arkansas! Danielle Kang did the same at the LPGA Championship last year, and even better as it is a major.
Can’t wait to see Amy Olson and Kim Kaufman make that sort of life changing breakthrough and more! GoAmy....GoKim....GoBison!!!

Good start for Amy on day 1 of the Women's PGA. She is -3 and tied for 10th. Would be sweet to have a CPA finish strong in a tournament sponsored by KPMG.

14 for 14 fairways, 14 of 18 GIR, and only 28 putts in the process of that PattyBison! Goes out fairly early tomorrow with a little calmer conditions. Be a nice time to start a new streak of cuts made and lots more! Hanson in 55 Olson in 18!! SkolOlson...SkolBison!!

While there are a lot of fine professionals at KPMG the firm is facing some serious questions about the quality of its work in the United Kingdom at the moment, after two large audit clients collapsed in quick succession, and could also get caught up in the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund fraud investigation. I don’t know how serious it is but there has been some talk in the UK of breaking up the Big 4 accounting firms.

Yeah, doesn't surprise me. There is always periodic chatter in the US too or at least there was when I was employed by a Big 4 firm (not this one). I get the intent, but I have always thought it would be difficult to manage the risk of large, publically traded companies with smaller firms. I haven't paid much attention of late, but KPMG was kind of on the fringe of the Big 4, not sure if they improved their US standing or not.

Amy off to a fine start. In addition to obviously wanting to perform well in a major she’ll be looking to confirm her exemption into the Women’s British Open with a result this week.

Amy, hit that course today like your hubby hit Zach Zenner in Brookings in the Fall of 2013!
