Not sure I’d say she fell apart. It seems likely though that the pressure of the situation and of holding the lead for so many holes got to her on that eighteenth tee. So the adrenaline got a little heavy and she over-cooked that swing and pulled it left.

See it all the time for tour players contending for their first major (not to mention first Top-5 finish!!). Having been through this experience and coming through it with a pretty darn good finish and payday, my bet is she finds a way to control that adrenaline a little better the next time she is in this position.

She performed extremely well and she should be very proud.

Agreed!......It was the most fun since the ANA! Announcers said it dufferole...Judy Rankin mentioned the word "peace" concerning Amy Olson, and spoke about both her and Mo Martin as great women first and then golfers. Amy at 26 is mature way beyond her years and an extremely thoughtful and compassionate person. I believe that was the only double of the week for Amy on 18. She will take it in stride and if she sheds any tears they will be tears of joy with her friend Angela Stanford, or tears of caring for what Angela is going through with the cancer her mother is battling. amy the black cat my oh my mangy what a tradgedy-------------couple things, #1 what was the hold up on the 2nd hole? rediculous and i think got her off rythem right out of the gates, #2 that male announcer with an accent on the first few holes was going out of his way to "jinx" her every fn chance he got, totally rediculous and some of his comments you could tell he seemed to be looking down his nose at the caliber of the lovely amy olson andersons game-----but congrats to "big ang" although she and amy were both lucky to even be in it with a chance to win at the end (i was expecting much lower scores)...that being said amy battled and straight from the old t woods playbook didnt panic she let the field fall back and played her game until the end------but mangy bud, i do have 2 question having her brother on the bag today, 2 shot lead on the final day of a major is enough pressure for 1 person let alone 2, maybe she could have drug down old judy rankster to loop 4 her just a thought------but this buds 4 amy olson ++++++++++++ hail amy! hail the bison! hail the mangy 1!---------PS is there a female version of the ryder cup? will amy make that team?

Solheim Cup next fall Gleneagles, Scotland. Haven’t seen a points update post Evian. Lots of golf yet before selection time.

International Crown this year. 8 countries participate. 4 player teams. Selection based on world golf rankings after the PGA Championship. Playing in Korea on a Jack Nicholas course in a couple weeks. Crowds will be epic.

Haha SlickVic...love it.....Glad to see you join the party! How bout that 18th hole for Amy having to stare down a $333,000 dollar putt?!? Not once, but twice!! I reckon that qualifies as a biggie....lol! You were right about Angela Stanford being the one to watch out for along with Inbee. And with a bit of time now, I gotta once again say that if it wasn't yet Amy's time, I am delighted to see Angela take a major after all of the years and attempts and with the personal battles she has faced along with the severe illness of her momma. Seems that Todd Kolb of South Dakota has done some great things with Angela to get her ready to do this thing! I think that Amy was over it a few moments after the tournament, and just as happy or even happier to see her friend win as if she had done it herself. Probably was mainly concerned about the number of wells that 1st place would have allowed her to build for Golf Fore Africa. What a finish and what a run..one for the ages sir!
