She’s paired up with a couple of powerhouses today in Anna Nordquist and Shanshan Feng dufferole! That can’t help the nerves. GoAmy GoKim!!

+3 thru 12 holes and Kim is E thru 8. Amy started with 3 straight bogies and since then only had one more with a birdie.

Amy finished 2 over par. I am sure she had the jitters playing with the number one player and a major winner. Wie and Kerr were in the group ahead of them. She finished strong and ahead of Nordquist.. Hopefully, she gets used to playing with some LPGA stars.

Good points! If you want to contend with the best, you gotta play with em dufferole! I think that Amy is observing and learning and studying more each week and time out, and it will all add to the final product! She may be too nice yet, but hopefully G.O. will throw a little fierceness her way to use as needed!

I’m not sure she needs to be taking advice from the second most accomplished athlete in the family, but whatever.

Probably not swing advice, although I haven’t seen Grant tee it up, and she is counting on Ron Stockton for that anyway. However, regarding advice on focus and ferocity in the moment, winning against supposedly superior competition, training with purpose, and probably a whole book of other nuances of sport and competition, Amy would be well served to lend an ear to her hubby, Coach Grant Olson. Which I believe she does. JMO.
It just feels like we’re trying to have a conversation about the 2004 Women’s National Soccer team winning an Olympic gold medal and for some reason Nomar Garciaparra’s name keeps coming up.
