I loved rudys when I went there in 2013 but I'm not crowning a chain restaurant king of bbq

Um, if you get a chance to dine at an establishment boasting a James Beard award winner - just pony up the $$$ and go. We have a couple in the Twin Cities. That is like an Oscar in the foodie world.

The Spoon and Stable guy just opened a new one in Wayzata called Bellecour. Tim McKee (former owner/chef of La Belle Vie) has something new open over in St. Paul but I forget the name. I think it is a larger operation with multiple dining options and something like a farmers market incorporated. Regardless - wherever McKee is serving I would go. OK, I did the google thing. McKee's new venture is a fish market/seafood restaurant in Lowertown. http://www.startribune.com/establish...own/431382303/

Other news: the Bachelor Farmer chef is moving/has moved on. http://www.startribune.com/chef-paul...mer/441039413/ No doubt the fare there will remain solid but chase the award winner.

I'll second that shoutout to TSCF as I was fortunate enough to enjoy he and Luke's company in the club at MSP on the way down. Thanks again TSCF - it was great to meet you both!

I'll 3rd that... seems as tho TSCF was "the guy to meet" on this trip! Visited with him during the playoffs, & once again in Frisco!
Re: travel - American Airlines leaving DFW at 11:15am Sunday, had NO issues! Sat next to the KVLY camerman on this flight & we talked about the game etc. Nice.
