Default Hey JMU fans....Virginia food ideas?

    Hey JMU fans...

I like to make foods from the host cities for big games. Looking some ideas from your area in Virginia to prepare. So whata y'all eat on gameday? or what are some unique foods to the Harrisonburg area of Virginia?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Mods, if this should not be in the football forum feel free to move it.

Edit...I'm sure there will be some smart aleck posts but I am actually serious.

Throw in virginia peanuts. They are great!

This is the best Virginia food. Just make sure it's long cure and prepare it correctly.

The ham idea could work. The original idea was to make some taco shop taco grinders but I could have ham grinders too.

I'd still like to hear from some jmu fans about unique foods too.

As you know teacher from Virginia being a colony, through the antebellum period there wasn't a big call for road kill BBQ. After the 1920's & the invent of the auto BBQed road kill became a staple for Sundays at grandmothers Virginia homestead. Possum, armadillo, racoon - all good eat’n son. So says many a Virginian.
