Prediction: Cox will be the first NDSU player to leave early for the NFL, he is that good. He will skip his senior year.

Idk, there's a lot of conflicting info out there. This news "broke" last night but his twitter profile still says he's WIU's head coach and he was tweeting about "his players" at WIU today. Also, the WIU AD tweeted out earlier today that, despite reports claiming otherwise, Fisher is still the head football coach at WIU: https://twitter.com/Matt_Tanney/stat...68179228053504

I feel for their fans, this seems awful similar to the Bob Nielson situation. It broke that he was leaving for USD, he called a meeting with his team to let them know he was staying at WIU, and then the next day be was gone officially to Vermillion.

You know your program isn't in great shape when your head coach leaves to be a position coach

The fact WIU has lost a head coach to USD and now lost another head coach to be a position coach that pays 150K more shows they are not committed to football.

Even Polasek going to Iowa makes a good 150K less than Klieman (counting his incentives of course) Iowa's receiver coach makes almost 250K less than Klieman

WIU = Not committed to football

Because programs that are committed to football will pay their head coach and won't lose them to the likes of USD. We are committed and pay our coaches. Klieman would never leave for a job like that because it's a huge pay DROP... not a raise. I really hope the rest of the conference figures out a way to keep their coaches. It's bad for the conference.

In Polaseks case it was a massive raise. No brainer.
