Darn that would have been nice to pull off both upsets...

Thanks for your updates and commentary! Holy balls, they were exciting to read...it was almost as intense as being there in person! I really thought the hero was going to come out on top at both endings...thanks again!

Really good performance yesterday. Should be two wins today, although Columbia will offer some legitimate challenges especially at 157-174 and HWT. F&M is one of the worst D1 teams, but their HWT should be a good match for Dan.

I thought the whole team was a "winner" yesterday, but individually I thought these stood out:
Sykora- Avenged his loss in the Cornell dual and beat a solid Cefolo, who was his teammate. Plus Zac Sherman beat Mitch McKee, making that loss all the more tolerable. It was a good day as he tries to get an NCAA seed.
Gliva- Didn't "wow" but he won both matches and has a good chance to finish 4-0 if he gets both starts today.
Ream- The Clagon win was very good. Good chance to go 4-0.
Fogarty- Huge win vs Sherry to pull the team back into the dual.
Coaching staff- Only reason Fogarty had the chance vs Sherry was the coaching staff. If they didn't bump Fogarty up, they likely come out of 165 and 174 at a -7 or -8 differential. With the bump up, they traded pins to come away even between the two matches. With Dan in UTB, they realized he should go neutral rather than down, but it was too late.

I didn't think anyone really fell into the "loser" category, although McNutt went 0-2 while getting pinned vs Rider. He was in the match vs Dean, but choosing down turned out to be the wrong move and really cost him.

Kulp is probably F&Ms 2nd or 3rd best wrestler and he is noticeably bigger than Midkiff. Midkiff had a nice shot but couldn't finish and wound up getting outscrambled for a 2&2. Kulp up big in the first period

Midkiff wrestled an extremely poor match and gave up a major decision.

    Gliva wins 11-5
