Does Houston's latest contract mention any prohibitions on him contacting JMU recruits? This is something I don't see any of your fans questioning. It's something they should be interested in knowing. The risk isn't so much for players on the roster, but this years recruiting class. And Tick Tock... early signing day is fast approaching. Houston isn't going to sit on his hands and not recruit to his new school these next few weeks.

Lots of posts about "him leaving" referring to everything in the singular. Some definitely don't understand it will be "them leaving".

Thoughts on if he should stay or leave immediately. The safe assumption is that he is currently working on assembling a staff from within JMU's coaching ranks and recruiting players to Charlotte. Having him stay is nice window dressing but do you trust him sticking around when his priorities are someplace else?

Default JMU Inks Mike Houston to a 10 Year Extension

Dom tweeted this interview Mike Houston did regarding the rumors. I appreciate how he handled it and didn’t use the standard deflective rhetoric.

I think that's a horrible way to handle it. Pretty clear he's gone but he won't say it. At least when the Bohl new broke before he intended it, his first public comment was a direct statement of accepting the Wyo offer. Pretty sure it was the Football Show that next Sunday morning.

He's gone. Just trying to tastefully stall.

Actually, it kind of sounds like he could be waiting for JMU's counter-offer.... Well, you gotta admit that it's not impossible.

Didn't we see something like that with the SDSU WBB coach?

Futures on JMU student fees are up in afterhours trading.

How close is JMU to his parents though?
